About Walking WorksAbout Walking Works

The Walking Works campaign is one in a series of Living Streets' campaigns (opens external window) that aim to get us all walking more in our daily lives.

The campaign is part of a portfolio of projects being delivered by a consortium of the leading walking, cycling and health organisations and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Transport for London and London Councils.

Walking Works aims to encourage more people to walk to and from work, and to walk more during their working day. We do this by running national events such as Walk to Work Day, Walk Champion schemes and by giving online support to people who pledge to walk more. As part of the campaign, we work directly with businesses to help them promote walking and encourage their employees to use walking as a way to travel actively.

About Living Streets

Living Streets is the national charity that stands up for pedestrians. With our supporters we work to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, where people want to walk. We work with professionals and politicians to make sure every community can enjoy vibrant streets and public spaces.
